Hi! Call out for feedback!
We are consulting with those who find accessing silent Quaker Meetings for Worship more difficult due to their neurodiversity, whatever your age. We would appreciate hearing from you about how Meeting could be made more accommodating of your needs.

Eg: headphones (with quiet music on), silent fidget/fiddle toys, different seating options (eg beanbags, cushions), doodling/drawing, permission to come into Meeting half way through (so a shorter Meeting length), better understanding by current Friends of differing needs, or something else?

We welcome your comments, and thank you for your consideration.

The police raid on Westminster Quaker meeting house last Thursday was a massively disproportionate response to the legitimate concerns of UK citizens.

Quakers do have something very special to offer the dying and the bereaved, namely that we are at home in silence. Not only are we thoroughly used to it and unembarrassed by it, but we know something about sharing it, encountering others in its depths and, above all, letting ourselves be used in it…

People so often talk of someone ‘getting over’ a death. How could you ever fully get over a deep loss? Life has been changed profoundly and irrevocably. You don’t get over sorrow; you work your way right to the centre of it.
