Elias Mattu Foundation

The late Cllr Elias Mattu had been a councillor for Graiseley Ward Wolverhampton since the year 2000. Elias was married to Asha and they have three grown up children Anthony,Ishmael and Jessica.

He was a senior cabinet member and served on numerous other committees and external bodies. Elias Mattu was loved and respected in Wolverhampton he was a people’s person he went above and beyond to help people. Elias was the voice for all the community’s in Wolverhampton.

He became Mayor for the City 2017 - 2018 his theme during his Mayoral Year was recognising the value of volunteering. Elias and Asha during their Mayoral time in office raised over £54.000 for their chosen charities.

Unfortunately his Mayoral year was cut short in February 2018 and the city called him “Wolverhampton’s Favourite Son.”
