This week is Volunteer' Week, we are celebrating our volunteers and those that are here from volunteering.

Volunteering is a great way to gain experience in a chosen field, and here at Base 25 we offer a variety of different opportunities.

This is Ben
Ben has recently joined the Base 25 team as volunteer in our community team.
"I help out in the charity shop, going through each item of clothing to make sure everything is neat, tidy, have price tags and are in good condition."
"I'm hoping that in the future I will be able to be more confident in myself and will be able to thrive better in a work environment and put my all into being someone who is reliable and always ready to help and Base 25 is helping me with that by giving me those opportunities to be reliable, helpful, and increasing my self confidence"

Ben's volunteer work within Base 25 is invaluable, and we love having him as part of our team.

We are taking advantage of Volunteers' Week to celebrate the great volunteers we have at Base 25, and those at Base 25 whose career started with volunteering.

Today we thank Lisa for all everything she does, from supporting the charity shop to group work and many things in between.

Lisa kindly wrote about her time with us.

Wow what a Bank Holiday.
We are open today after the break, but closed the rest of the week for training.
We will be even more fabulous when we reopen 9am Monday.

Our spring raffle is live, and we are very excited. Not only do you win a basket full of goodies, but a bottle of our summery fabric softener too.

"After walking around town I noticed a charity shop sign outside of Base 25, I've never been here before but what a wonderful surprise. Not only did I get a new summer outfit for pennies, I had the most delicious cup or fresh ground coffee and a muffin, it wont be the last either! Thank you for a wonderful afternoon".

A lovely note left in our suggestion box from a new customer, £3.25 for a fresh ground coffee and muffin is the possibly the cheapest in town but definitely the tastiest!
