🎨🐛 **Mondays are for getting creative!** 🦋🐞

This week, our talented children got stuck into some hands-on fun, using modelling clay to create their very own insects for our bug display! 🐝🐜🪲

We absolutely loved seeing their creativity, imagination and attention to detail come to life! They all did an amazing job, and we couldn’t be prouder! 🌟👏💚

🌿 **Forest School Adventures!** 🚤💧

This week at Forest School, our children took their learning to the **canal locks**!

They discovered **how locks work**, why they are needed to help canal boats travel along waterways, and learned more about **canal boats and our local waterways**.

The best part was getting some hands-on experience — the children even had the opportunity to **help open and close the locks themselves!** 🙌

It was a brilliant way to combine outdoor learning, teamwork and practical life experiences while encouraging curiosity about the world around us. 🌳💚

✨ PROGRESS UPDATE ✨
Today was Progress Assessment day, and our hearts are absolutely bursting with pride! 🥹💗

This little star is doing AMAZING with her speech! 🌟 She now knows all of the children’s names, and watching her social skills and communication come on in leaps and bounds has been incredible. 🥹🙌🏼

Every little milestone deserves to be celebrated, and we couldn’t be prouder of how far she’s come! 💕✨

While our parents and carers are working or simply enjoying some respite these little moments like these can slip by — but not with RUOE. Our childcare keeps your little ones active, engaged, and smiling right up until you finish work. Then it’s straight home for family dinner and cosy sofa snuggles after a fun‑filled day.

So I came to drop some treats off for the kids as they have all been extremely well behaved since coming back. The children proceeded to link my arms and march me back to the swings and told me it’s time I get to have some fun to. After a crappy week they children were just what I needed they are a breath of fresh air! Thanks kiddies for my swing ride and for pushing me Being a Director doesn’t leave much time for fun, its numbers, budgets, paperwork and endless admin. I really value my time with the children when I get it because it motivates me to keep going and see the importance in what I do. Seeing there progress is the most rewarding feeling so I returned to my desk with a big smile 😃

To some, this is work. To others, it is their favourite place to be.
The day this becomes just “a job”, and we stop being passionate about facilitating, supporting and working towards creating a happy, safe and nurturing place for our children, is the day we need to stop, reconsider, reflect and revisit why we come to work.

This isn’t just a job. It’s a service. It’s about making a difference and helping create a happy childhood for children who may not always be able to find that happiness, safety or sense of belonging in other places.

Every day, we have the opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life. That is something to be proud of, and something we should never lose sight of. ❤️
