We had a brilliant time at our Family Active session, with a lovely mix of old and new faces.
The adults did fantastically joining in with the young people, playing wheelie board races, variations on dodgeball, parachute games, and free play.
We are looking forward to starting back at our regular kids only West Berkshire Active Club and Wokingham Multi-Sports in September, with this (Newbury Baptist Church hall) as our new venue for West Berkshire.
If you would like to join our wait list for these lovely clubs, and get your young people more active and making friends, sign up at www.TinyURL.com/ASDFHsport

Fantastic NERF party at Finchampstead Baptist Church yesterday!!

Everyone got involved including parents and ASDFH staff, having the best time.

Lots of laughter, running around, and some very sweaty people at the end of the session 😂

Thank you to Jake for running this activity for us, it was great to work with you again 😄

This Monday (Monday 17th Aug) was our monthly adult social club meet up at The Crucible, Newbury

We had 27 attendees, 5 of them being new members 🙂

We spent time introducing and finding common interests which turned out to be darts in one case.

I downloaded a darts scoring app and that was us set for the night!

Other attendees coloured, ate dinner and played pool, there really is something for everyone!

If you would like to join us next month we will be back on Monday 21st September 6-8pm - Sign up below -

Yesterday we had a lovely time at Newbury Fire Station! 🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒

We had the noise levels turned down to create a calmer, more sensory-friendly experience for our families, and we learnt so many interesting things.

From breathing apparatus and oxygen equipment to the specialist tools firefighters use to assist at road traffic accidents, there was lots to see and learn. We asked questions about the ladders and got to see all the amazing flashing lights!

We were really impressed by how organised the firefighters’ equipment is, how heavy some of the tools are, and just how much training goes into becoming a firefighter.

We finished the session by putting out mini chalk fires using little water guns, racing fire engines—which was lots of fun!—and then enjoying a lovely picnic.

A huge thank you to Newbury Fire Station for such a fantastic and inclusive experience.

We have our last few Family SEN sessions of the summer coming up, and there are still places available! 🎉
