Huge congratulations Jax, who has been recognised with a Community Award at this year’s SEND Awards after raising an amazing £40,000 for causes close to his heart, including Colostomy UK.

Jax lives with a stoma and is using his own experiences to raise awareness, challenge misconceptions and help others feel less alone.

We’re incredibly proud that Jax has chosen to support us and grateful for everything he is doing to help break down stigma around life with a stoma.

This we are shining a spotlight on Tyler. At just 5 years old Tyler underwent stoma surgery, and now at 13 years old living with an ACE button Tyler took on a junior Tough Mudder challenge to raise over £2,200 for Colostomy UK!! Tyler told us that "If I can help one 5-year-old boy that may be feeling as scared as I was then that will make this all worthwhile". Thank you so much Tyler!!

We’re proud to help share the news about UK Recovery Walk 2026, bringing people together in Bradford this September for three days of community, connection, inclusion and hope.

Earlier this year, we met Dave and Andrew from Create Strength Group through the GSK IMPACT Awards, where both organisations were recognised as 2026 award winners.

For Kev Harvey-Austen, life with a stoma has in many ways been easier to navigate than living with a parastomal hernia.

After emergency surgery for Crohn’s disease in 2016, Kev was left with a stoma and an unexpected early hernia that quickly began to affect daily life, causing leaks, discomfort, and repeated complications. His story highlights how important early recognition, timely support, and advocacy can be when things don’t feel right.
