On Until Sun 28 June 2026

COLE-LEVI KLIMT presents works by Eva Yates, Meryl Donoghue and Paul Freud alongside a selection of invited guest artists, considering loss not as an endpoint, but as an inseparable condition of living.

The exhibition holds space for the depth of human experience, offering a way to look directly at loss without turning away from wonder. It is an invitation to remain engaged with life as it unfolds—to protect it – to love it fiercely, to live it attentively, and to carry on, knowing that the work of living is inseparable from its ending.

The team at Lightbox Gallery are saddened to hear of the passing of David Hockney (1937-2026).

Reflecting on his work, we look back fondly on showcasing 'Ways of Working' in 2020, an exploration of over six decades of David Hockney's creative output. Through exhibiting the diversity of Hockney’s practice, we emphasised how such experimentation formed the basis for the development of his ideas, the way his art is made and what it looks like. Central to this approach was his fascination for people and places as well as an on going enchantment with the past.

“I love new mediums. I think mediums can turn you on, they excite you; they always let you do something in a different way, even if you take the same subject, if you draw it in a different way, or if you are forced to simplify it, to make it bold because it is too finicky, I like that.”
