Woking Foodbank is a community led project that provides emergency food to local people in crisis.

Despite popular misconception there are many people in the Woking area who are living in poverty. Woking Foodbank is there to help these people or families in need by providing emergency supplies of food to stop hunger. All of those using the service are referred to us by external bodies and charities such as Woking Borough Council and such charities as the York Road Project and YMCA Woking. The s

ervice we provide is not a means to an end, but will help those who are in a crisis and cannot afford to eat.

Looking forward to visiting Woking’s new Community Grocery tomorrow morning from 9 30am and appreciate the opportunity to introduce some of our Foodbank visitors to the scheme. It’s been great to support this project. If you struggle to afford food and essentials, do come along.

Our Foodbank collects and redistributes food that would otherwise go to landfill and we are grateful to the supermarkets and charities that support this part of our work. It’s great for our visitors to have some fresh food. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our volunteers who pick it all up for us. Big shout to Sunita, Mary, Paul and David. You are all stars 🌟
