Woking Foodbank is a community led project that provides emergency food to local people in crisis.

Despite popular misconception there are many people in the Woking area who are living in poverty. Woking Foodbank is there to help these people or families in need by providing emergency supplies of food to stop hunger. All of those using the service are referred to us by external bodies and charities such as Woking Borough Council and such charities as the York Road Project and YMCA Woking. The s

ervice we provide is not a means to an end, but will help those who are in a crisis and cannot afford to eat.

Thank you to shoppers who supported us so generously on Saturday, as part of our emergency food collection. Your support will make a huge difference to foodbank visitors and their families during the final few weeks of the school holidays. We collected 38 crates of supplies. Thank you again.

Our Foodbank will be collecting much needed summer supplies on Saturday at Waitrose Goldsworth Park. Visit us from 9 30am and donate if you can. Top of our needs list is UHT milk, non bio washing detergent, instant coffee, peanut butter, tinned fruit and veg and snacks for children.

Could you organise a foodbank collection at your place of work, church or social space? Perhaps a one off collection, or a themed collection. We are keen to collect items for the school holidays, including snacks, crisps or spreads to make sandwiches. Do get in touch if you would like to know more: [email protected]
