SearchLight Counselling & Therapy

We’re proud to introduce SearchLight Counselling & Therapy — the new name for your local counselling service, continuing the work we’ve been doing in the community for many years.

Following the administration of Relate National and its subsequent acquisition by Family Action, we have chosen to move forward independently. This means that we have transitioned from Relate West Surrey to our new identity: SearchLight Counselling & Therapy.

Our hugely experienced local team will continue to ensure that our support for individuals, those in relationships, families, young people and children remains accessible, consistent, and rooted in the values you know and trust.

Our name has changed, but our counsellors, our services, and our commitment to you remain exactly the same.

SearchLight represents what we’ve always aimed to offer: a confidential, compassionate space where people can find clarity, connection, and support during challenging times. Our mission continues — to make high quality counselling available to everyone who needs it, without barriers.

Its that time of year again and it can be wonderful… but it can also be overwhelming.

The festive season brings school plays, endless emails, work parties, and family gatherings. For many, it’s a time of joy and connection. But it can also feel exhausting, pressured, or even lonely when the celebrations don’t match how we’re feeling inside.

At Relate West Surrey, we understand that behind the sparkle there can be stress. If you’re finding this season difficult, whether it’s juggling commitments, coping with family dynamics, or feeling isolated, our counselling services are here to support you.
