💚🌸 One week on… we’re still smiling. 🌸💚

It’s hard to believe it’s already been a week since the 79th Pyrford & Wisley Village Show.

We’ve had time to catch our breath, look through hundreds of wonderful photos and reflect on what made the day so special. We asked a few members of the committee to share their favourite memories…

💚 Nik - Trophies
“My highlight was seeing how much the community loves the show. It really is a day that appeals to every age. It was a shame our four-legged friends couldn’t join us this year, but I loved seeing everyone join in with the line dancing! Watching the committee come together like a perfect jigsaw on the day was something really special.”

“It was so lovely to see families and friends smiling and dancing to our fantastic performers on the music stage. This was my first year on the committee, and what a brilliant community event to be part of!”

🔍 Lost Property Appeal 🔍

As we finish packing away from this year’s Pyrford & Wisley Village Show, we’re hoping to reunite a few items with their owners.

We have found:
☂️ Umbrellas
🕶️ Sunglasses
💧 Water bottles

We’re also helping a visitor who lost a purse during the show.

If you happened to find a purse on Saturday, or know someone who did, we’d be very grateful if you could get in touch.

If any of the found items belong to you, please send us a message describing them so we can arrange their safe return.

The marquees are down… and that’s a wrap for now!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came down this morning to help with the clear-up.

What a team! 💥

It was one of the quickest and most efficient pack-downs we’ve had, and that’s entirely down to the incredible community spirit shown by our committee, volunteers and everyone who gave up an hour (or more!) to lend a hand.

A special thank you to those who answered our last-minute call for extra volunteers—you made a massive difference.

Now it’s time for a well-earned rest… and a cold drink! We’ll be back later this week to share some of our favourite moments from an incredible day. 🌸💚

💚 Can you spare an hour this morning? 💚

Before we reflect on what has been a fantastic 79th Pyrford & Wisley Village Show, we have one final request…

We need your help to pack everything away!

If you can spare an hour this morning, we’d be incredibly grateful. There are plenty of light jobs available, from litter picking and clearing the showground to helping dismantle equipment. There’s something for everyone.

Bring along your spouse, partner, friend, neighbour or family member—many hands really do make light work!

⏰ Our aim is to have everything packed away by 12 noon, so let’s finish the show in true community spirit.

A huge thank you to everyone who has volunteered, exhibited, sponsored, performed and visited over the weekend. One last team effort and we’ll have another successful Village Show wrapped up.

🌸🎉 TODAY’S THE DAY! 🎉🌸

The wait is over – welcome to the 79th Pyrford & Wisley Village Show! We can’t wait to welcome you for an afternoon of community spirit, entertainment and family fun.

A few important reminders before you head down:

🌿 Competition Entries
All Horticulture, Homecraft, Photography and other competition entries should be at the appropriate marquee by their allocated time.

🥔 Potato Growing Competition
Please ensure your pot is at the Horticulture Tent by 11:00am, with your name and contact details attached and the foliage cut back.

🎭 Fancy Dress Competition
Meet at Pyrford Village Hall at 1:00pm before heading to the Main Arena for judging.

🎟️ Admission
Please make sure you have your wristband on at all times. Admission bands are mandatory and, if you don’t have one, you may be asked to purchase another.

🚗 Parking
Please follow the directions of our volunteer marshals and allow a little extra time when arriving.

🗑️ Help Keep Our Village Beautiful
This is a community event run entirely by volunteers. Please use the bins provided, recycle where possible, and help us leave the showground looking as lovely as we found it. If you spot one of our volunteers needing an extra pair of hands, we’d really appreciate your help! Over 100 people, family and friends of this community have put their name down to help get this event off the ground from set up earlier this week to take down tomorrow- we’re all in it together & every little helps!

🎶🌸 Your soundtrack to the Village Show is ready! 🌸🎶

Tomorrow, the Pyrford & Wisley Village Show comes alive with an incredible afternoon of live music – and there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

🎺 The Bandemics Big Band will get the party started with swing, jazz and big band favourites.

🎤 Ellie Elston brings her stunning vocals and a mix of soulful ballads and feel-good classics.

🌴 Reggae Bash will have you soaking up those summer vibes.

⭐ And get ready to sing along with our fantastic Take That Tribute – the perfect way to round off an amazing day!

Whether you’re dancing in front of the stage, relaxing with friends, or enjoying lunch from one of our fantastic food vendors, our Music Stage will be the heart of the show all afternoon.

Bring a picnic blanket, grab a drink from the Cricket Club Bar or Gin & Fizz Bar, and enjoy an afternoon of fantastic live entertainment in the sunshine. ☀️🍹

Our Fancy Dress Competition is almost here, and we can’t wait to see your wonderful creations inspired by this year’s theme…

🌿 An English Country Garden 🌿

Think blooming flowers 🌼, buzzing bees 🐝, colourful butterflies 🦋, garden gnomes, scarecrows, ladybirds, vegetables, watering cans… or anything else your imagination can grow!

🎖️ Prizes will be presented by the Mayor of Woking in the Main Arena.

Whether you’ve made your costume from scratch or put together something simple and fun, we’d love to see you take part. The Fancy Dress Parade is always one of the highlights of the Village Show!

🌸⛺ Just 2 days to go! ⛺🌸

The countdown is almost over!

Our amazing team of volunteers have already started and been hard at work in the heat transforming Pyrford Cricket Ground into the home of the 79th Pyrford & Wisley Village Show!

Over the next couple of days you’ll see:
⛺ Marquees going up
🌸 Exhibits arriving
🎪 The arena taking shape
🎶 The stage being set for our fantastic entertainment
🍔 Food vendors getting ready
🌿 Hundreds of finishing touches coming together to create a wonderful day for the whole community.

It’s incredible what can be achieved by a team of dedicated volunteers, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone giving up their time this week. We simply couldn’t do it without you.

Whether it’s helping set up, supporting the event during the afternoon, or assisting with packing away, every extra pair of hands makes a real difference. Everyone can do their bit on the day by keeping the site clear of rubbish and respecting our village when arriving and leaving.

🌸🌿 Calling all gardeners – it’s almost time to exhibit! 🌿🌸

We can’t wait to see the wonderful entries in this year’s Horticulture Section at the Pyrford & Wisley Village Show.

Whether you’ve been nurturing beautiful blooms, growing prize vegetables, creating a stunning hanging basket or preparing a floral arrangement, now is the time to get everything ready!

🪴 Please remember to check the programme for drop off details! The entry form in the programme needs to be submitted to the horticulture lead address with fee by tomorrow 630pm!

🥔 Potato Growing Competition
If you’ve been taking part in our very first Potato Growing Competition, don’t forget to:
✅ Bring your pot to the Horticulture Tent by 11:00am
✅ Clearly label it with your name and contact details
✅ Cut back the foliage before bringing it along
Judging will begin at 2:00pm, with the winner of the £20 cash prize announced during the Horticulture Prize Giving.

A huge thank you to everyone who has entered this year’s horticultural classes. We know how much time, care and dedication goes into every flower, vegetable and exhibit, and we can’t wait to see the marquee filled with your incredible displays.
