FOUND CAT – Russell Road, Walton-on-Thames

Does anyone recognise this handsome ginger tabby male cat?

He has been regularly visiting in the Russell Road area and appears to be unneutered. He is very vocal, especially overnight, and local residents are concerned as the noise is disturbing nearby households and waking children.

He may well have a home nearby, and his owner may not be aware of how far he is roaming or how often he is calling. If this is your cat, please could you get in touch at [email protected] and ensure he is safely home.

Please share locally to help identify his owner.

FOUND CAT — STAINES, TW18 2
Reference: F1224S

Has anyone recognised this cat? It has been visiting a garden in the Staines area, TW18 2, for approximately the past month.

The cat will not allow anyone to get close, but the finder has been trying to safely tempt it into a cat carrier so it can be taken to a vet and scanned for a microchip. Unfortunately, they have not yet been able to do so.

Posts have already been shared in local Staines groups, but nobody has come forward so far. We are keen to identify its owner and make sure it is safe.

If you recognise this cat, know who it belongs to, or have any information that may help, please get in touch quoting reference F1224S.

During the summer months, there are a few things to keep in mind to keep our cats safe. Here are three hazards to watch out for...

1. Check sheds and garages before closing them up; it can be a tempting place to explore for a cat.
2. Keep covers on your water butts, as sadly, cats can fall in and won’t be able to get out themselves.
3. Take precautions when it comes to windows and balconies, as cats don’t always land on their feet unharmed.
