It is with great sadness that we announce that this year’s Pride in Surrey, due to take place on 8th August in Guildford, has been postponed until 2027.

Over recent months, rising costs and a decline in pledged corporate sponsorship have placed us in a challenging position, making it impossible to proceed with the parade and festival event.

This year, many Pride events across the country have faced similar cancellations, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding during this difficult time.

We have been exploring additional funding options to support this year's Pride and also different dates for 2026, but unfortunately this has not been feasible.

On a positive note, we are excited to confirm our date for 2027 with Guildford, and preparations for that event will begin very soon.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Pride in Surrey
in 2027.

Our inaugural surrey sisterhood group is on Saturday 20th June 2026.
This is a group run by Surrey Federation of Women's Institutes for members and non members.
Please book your place through ticketsource and come along to hear Alison Hoyland's talk 'Never judge a book by its cover' wear your best colours and style.
This group is optional to attend and is for members and non members that agree with the NFWI operational belief that trans women are women.
Bring a packed lunch and join us for an interesting talk, lunch together and craft after lunch. Get to know new people, learn and have fun.

It’s Pride Month! 41 years ago Guildford Area Gay Society (GAGS) marched at Pride London on 29 June 1985. GAGS were Surrey’s earliest gay support group and were founded in 1977. They took with them their fabulous home-made banner, which now forms part of their unique archive, held at Surrey History Centre.
