We had our Spring lunch yesterday at Squires Garden Centre which was attended by 19 of our clients. A huge thank you to Wendy and Di who did a fantastic job organising everything including lifts for our clients.
A wonderful time was had by all and as always great service by Squires staff.

On Thursday 5th February we had our first coffee morning of 2026 at the Evangical Church, Horsell. We had a fantastic attendance by both clients and volunteers who enjoyed a chat and excellent homemade cakes/cupcakes and biscuits all made by our wonderful volunteers.

The Perfect New Years Resolution!
Got a little spare time this year and not sure how to fill it? Horsell Care would love to hear from you!
We are in urgent need of volunteer drivers to drive our elderly and less mobile clients to their medical and other important appointments. Its totally flexible, as little or as much as you would like to do, no set days just as and when, expenses paid. Will need a current driving licence and will be using your own car. Will also need to go through a DBS check.

A big thank you to the Cricketers for hosting our Christmas Drinks get-together last night for our amazing volunteers. We had a wonderful time.

Thank you to all you lovely people that are following our page which is increasing its number every day.
For those of you not volunteering would you consider doing a little to help our residents by taking them to their medical and other essential appointments?
Be it once a week or twice a month, preferably Monday-Friday but good for weekend too. Any help you could give would be hugely appreciated.
If you cannot offer assistance yourself, do you know a friend / relative that might be able to offer a little of their time?
If so, we can be contacted on our helpline 07552553414. The more volunteers we have the more appointments we can help with. The less we have, the less we can help.
Let’s do this together 🙂

We had our coffee morning for our clients and volunteers earlier this month in the Evangical Church hall in Horsell. Homemade cakes, tea, coffee, lots of chat and laughter making it as always a wonderful occasion in our calendar.

We are so grateful to the church for all that they do to help us help our residents.
We are seeking volunteer drivers who can spare a few hours a month to drive our lovely clients to doctors / hospital and other medical appointments. If interested, please call our helpline on 07552553414 and leave your contact details.

Horsell Care - our amazing neighbour hood scheme, made it into Woking News and Mail last week on completing our 20,000th job - how fantastic is that!

We had a little get together to celebrate the occasion. Our chair, Wendy Bratton and Woking MP Will Forster, who very kindly attended, presented Heidi, one of our amazing volunteers, who carried out the 20,000th job with a certificate and a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

We are in great need of more driver volunteers. As most of you know, we drive the elderly and vulnerable to all kinds of medical appointments including the 4 main hospitals, as well as grocery shopping / doing it for them.

We are looking for drivers who have a few hours to spare a month to help our residents. Our volunteers find the commitment is very flexible and easily fits around their busy schedules. It is incredibly rewarding as our clients really appreciate our service and without it, would find it very difficult to get to their appointments.

With 2025 underway, we are once again recruiting for driver volunteers.
You will be DBS checked , and need to have a valid UK driver’s license.
You can pick the days you are free to drive and even then if you are not an available on your chosen day, no problem! You do only what you can, which could be once a month or once a fortnight!
