The Pakistan Muslim Welfare Association (PMWA) is a Woking-based voluntary funeral and community welfare service. The PMWA is responsible for providing a fully managed funeral service. The PMWA's responsibilities extend to the Shah Jahan Mosque, Britain's first purpose-built mosque. We are responsible for managing and administrating the affairs of the masjid. Furthermore, we have led community ini

tiatives such as running Nadra card clinics in partnership with the Pakistan High Commission. Regular drop-in clinics for the community may need support documentation or administrative tasks. We are also actively supporting sporting initiatives in the community by arranging and facilitating a Sunday cricket league for the local community. The PMWA encompasses all elements of community life, and our mission statement is to “help promote the interests of Muslims living in Woking.”

We will continue to provide opportunities and support to our local community and look forward to engaging with all that require our help.

There's no need to say much about how important this is and what a huge step forward. The words of our Prophet are enough:

"كَسْرُ عَظْمِ الْمَيِّتِ كَكَسْرِهِ حَيًّا "
Breaking the bones of the deceased is like breaking his bones when he is alive" - Ibn Majah

And

أَسْرِعُوا بِالْجَنَازَةِ فَإِنْ كَانَتْ صَالِحَةً قَرَّبْتُمُوهَا إِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ كَانَ شَرًّا تَضَعُونَهُ عَنْ رِقَابِكُمْ

"Hasten at a funeral, for if the deceased is good, you would bring him close to the good. And if it is otherwise, it is an evil of which you are freeing yourselves.

DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT

‎إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُوْن

It is with a heavy heart we announce that Haji Ghulam Khan has sadly passed away, father of Rabnawaz Khan, Mohammad Nawaz Khan, Naeem Abbas Khan & Faheem Abbas.

May Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى have mercy on his soul and grant him Jannatul Firdaus and Sabr Jameel to the family.

‎.آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ

Please pray Surah Fatiha x 1 and Surah Ikhlas x 3 with Durood sharif at beginning and end for all marhoomeen.

Phurri will be at the Shah Jahan Mosque Woking today 14th August from 1.30pm after Dhur prayers to Isha prayers 10:10pm.

Janazah prayer for Haji Ghulam Khan will take place rommorow, Friday 15th August after the first Jummah prayer at 1:30pm led by Imam Hashmi.

The burial will take place after the Janazah at Brookwood cemetery

It is with a heavy heart we announce that Haji Altaf Ahmed Qureshi of Glendale Close, Woking has sadly passed away, father of Atif, Late Nasir (r) Rahan, Safia and Khadijah Qureshi and Brother of Late Haji Master Rashid (r) and Haji Zahid.

May Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى have mercy on his soul and grant him Jannatul Firdaus and Sabr Jameel to the family.
