Worldwide President Kathleen Snow shares a heartfelt message for Lent and Holy Week, reflecting on walking with Jesus through the wilderness, the cross, and the resurrection.

Her letter reminds us of the hope, new beginnings, and renewed purpose we have in Christ, especially as we celebrate 150 years of Mothers’ Union.

On 21st July 2025 we celebrated the 100th Anniversary of our Central Charity headquarters, Mary Sumner House. We are grateful that we have had this building to call our ‘home’ in Westminster in the heart of London for 100 years.

Our Mothers’ Union Global Community Home
* It has been a place of community for many years.
* We have met there, worked there, worshipped there and entertained there.
* It has been a place where members from not only Britain and Ireland, but all over the world have made pilgrimages to, and when the hostel was open, stayed overnight and visited on many occasions.

We are grateful that we have had this ‘home’ to welcome strangers to and to share hospitality with, in the love of Christ. Our Chapel has been a sanctuary for many and a blessing to all.

Please join me in praying with grateful hearts and giving thanks to Him who is the One for our staff and volunteers who have worked so diligently for us in this building and beyond over the many years.

In gratitude and love,

Kathleen

Our theme for Thy Kingdom Come this year is to pray for five, invite one.

Pray for five friends, family members or colleagues to come to know the love of Jesus for themselves, and invite one of them to a Mothers' Union event, welcoming them into a lifelong community built on faith and fellowship.

We would love to see how you are engaging with Thy Kingdom Come this year! Send us your stories and tag us in your photos.

"The Duchess will bring strength and inspiration for the work we all do," says Mothers’ Union Worldwide President, Kathleen Snow.

We are especially grateful for Her Royal Highness’s experience and commitment to championing the most marginalised. As a woman-led movement, we also greatly welcome The Duchess’s commitment to promoting the development of women into leadership.
