Dr Pete Sudbury is our speaker in November, building on his previous talks to the Eco Forum. Pete says 'I think there are fundamental changes going on that are increasingly self-reinforcing and will lead to exponential decarbonisation. The problem is we're 20 years behind the curve, so we need a "Climate Emergency Brake", as well as stepping up action to save the natural world'.
Pete's current focus is the need for a Climate Emergency Brake. His work on this has seen him invited to join the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries Planetary Solvency Advisory Group, and it became one of the 5 recommendations in their "Parasol Lost" publication, in late 2025.
Pete will outline the vast and accelerating threat from Climate and Environmental disintegration, and outline the reasons for optimism in the face of a narrowing pathway to survival.
Join us for a fascinating talk on Thursday 12 November, at St Mary's Church, Church Green, Witney, OX28 4AW. Bar opens at 7.00pm, speaker starts at 7.30.
