But this isn’t just an achievement for The Witham Hub.

We know that life can sometimes throw challenges our way, and knowing where to turn for help isn’t always easy.

That’s why we’re pleased to be working alongside Peabody to bring even more practical support directly into the heart of our community. ❤️

Whether you’re struggling with housing, worried about money, or simply need someone to talk to, help is available.

🏠 Housing concerns – Including housing difficulties and the risk of homelessness.

📋 Welfare benefits – Help with claims, advice and understanding what support you may be entitled to.

We’re delighted to introduce Thomas, a local bicycle enthusiast who is kindly giving his time to support our community at The Witham Hub! 👏

Whether your bike needs a little TLC, your scooter could do with an adjustment, or you simply want some friendly advice about keeping your wheels turning, Thomas is your man!

🔧 What can Thomas help with?

🚲 Bicycle checks and minor adjustments

🛴 Scooter and skateboard advice

🔩 Simple repairs and maintenance guidance

🦺 Basic safety checks and advice

💬 Or just a friendly chat about all things on wheels!

As candles are lit across different time zones, a beautiful Wave of Light travels around the world.

Each flame represents love, remembrance and a precious life that will never be forgotten.

Tonight, we invite our community to join us.

Light a candle at 7pm, place it somewhere safe and take a quiet moment to remember.

For the babies we held in our arms.

For the babies we held only in our dreams.

For the babies who will always be held in our hearts.

Their lives may have been short, but the love they inspired is everlasting.

For too long, baby loss has been something many families have felt unable to talk about.

Miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death and other forms of pregnancy and baby loss can leave families feeling isolated, misunderstood and alone.

No one should feel ashamed of their grief or pressured to hide their experience.

Talking about baby loss doesn’t make it happen more often. It helps us understand the importance of compassionate care, remembrance and support.

At The Witham Hub and The Braintree Hub, we believe everyone deserves to feel listened to, valued and included.

Nobody should have to face grief in silence.

You don’t have to share your story. But you should always feel safe to do so.

🩷🩵 LOVE DOESN’T END WHEN A LIFE DOES

For parents who have experienced baby loss, there can be an additional heartbreak that others may not always understand.

The world continues turning, but the future they imagined has changed forever.

There may be no first steps, no first day at school, no birthdays celebrated in the way they dreamed.

But there is still love.

There is still a bond.

And there is still a baby who will always be part of their family.

To every mother and father who has had to say goodbye before they were ready, we see you.

Your baby existed. Your love is real. Your grief matters.

Behind a smile, a busy working day or someone simply getting on with life, there may be a parent carrying the heartbreak of losing a baby.

Baby loss affects mothers, fathers, partners, grandparents, siblings and entire families.

Some speak openly about their loss. Others carry their grief privately.

Some have photographs and keepsakes. Others have very little to hold on to beyond their memories and the love they feel.

No two experiences are the same.

During Baby Loss Awareness Week, we ask everyone to remember that we rarely know what someone else is carrying.

A little kindness, patience and understanding can mean more than we realise.

When someone loses a baby, knowing what to say can feel impossible.

People often worry about saying the wrong thing, and sometimes that fear means they say nothing at all.

But silence can leave grieving families feeling even more alone.

You don’t need the perfect words.

💗 “I’m so sorry.”

💗 “I’m here if you need me.”

💗 “Would you like to tell me about your baby?”

💗 “I’m thinking of you.”

If the family has shared their baby’s name, don’t be afraid to use it.

And please avoid phrases such as “You can try again” or “Everything happens for a reason.”

No baby can ever be replaced.

Compassion doesn’t require perfect words. Just a caring heart.
