To celebrate we will be out and about across the week, joining our friends Essex SEND Local Offer, Broomfield Hospital NHS, Essex County Council, Braintree District Mencap, and our colleagues from Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. We’d love to see you there.

Look out for us this Wednesday at Braxted Park as we support our friends at The multi-schools council for their United in Diversity Festival.

Jo will be there with a range of our communication resources and our sensory blackout tent for anyone that needs a quiet time out.

This Carers Week we are supporting carers through better communication.

Carers make a big difference every day - millions of unpaid carers support a loved one with a disability, illness, or additional needs, including communication.

Good communication helps:
✔ People feel understood
✔ Reduce stress and frustration
✔ Build trust and positive relationships

We can all make a difference by:
• Using clear, simple language
• Giving people time to respond
• Using tools like symbols, signing or communication aids
• Listening to carers and valuing their insight
• Asking “what works for you?”
