On Monday, we held our monthly OC’s Parade to celebrate our cadets most recent achievements!

Huge congratulations to Cdt Hogan, who was awarded with September’s Cadet of the Month, and to Albermarle Flight, who were named this month’s Flight of the Month.

Well done also to Sgt Smith, Cpl Woolner-Old and Cpl Ingram who were presented with their CVQO Level 2 BTEC Qualifications in Teamwork and Personal Development in the Community!

Lastly, well done to a handful of our cadets who were presented with a variety of badges, including Classifications, Blue Space, Blue DofE, Blue Radio and Blue Leadership!

Earlier this month, cadets and staff from 295 proudly represented the squadron in Essex Wing’s Annual Wing Parade.

This year was particularly significant, as we celebrated 85 years of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets. The cadets proudly marched through Brentwood High Street, ending with a service at Brentwood Cathedral conducted by the Wing Padre.

A special well done as well to our cadets who were part of the Wing Band, they sounded absolutely fantastic!

We were delighted to be invited back to perform in the Coggeshall Carnival this year. Our Corps of Drums performed a fantastic show through the streets and we had lots of compliments from members of the public!

This was also the first public event for our newly formed Civilian Committee. We had lots of fun things to sell and had the opportunity to do lots of recruiting as well.

Well done to everyone involved!

Earlier this month, five of our cadets took to the skies and had the amazing opportunity to go flying in a powered aircraft!

For most, this was their first time ever being in the cockpit of an aircraft and got to take control (which is something not many of their school friends can relate to!) They opted for doing some aerobatics and even managed to keep down their breakfast!

Having done their PTT at squadron, they can now be awarded with their Blue Wings badge. Well done to you all!
