𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘁 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
National Cadets Week 2026 has taken place across the United Kingdom from 5 to 11 October, marking the first‑ever nationwide celebration of our five MOD‑supported cadet organisations: the Sea Cadet Corps, Volunteer Cadet Corps, Army Cadet Force, Air Training Corps, and Combined Cadet Force. With more than 137,000 cadets and 28,000 adult volunteers involved, the week shines a spotlight on the incredible achievements, dedication, and community impact of young people across the country.
As we reach the final day of National Cadets Week, we want to share how proud we are to be part of 𝟮𝟵𝟱 (𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗺 & 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹) 𝗔𝗶𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘁𝘀! Over the past months, our newly formed Civilian Committee has had the privilege of seeing first‑hand the dedication, enthusiasm, and resilience shown by our cadets, and the unwavering commitment of the adult staff who support them. Every parade night, activity, and event reflects the teamwork, leadership, and community spirit that make this squadron so special. We are grateful for the hard work that goes on behind the scenes and inspired by the young people who give their best in everything they do. Being part of 295 is something we value deeply, and we look forward to continuing to support the squadron as it grows and thrives.
And what better way to celebrate the end of Cadet Week than with our Squadron Mess Night last night. It was a fantastic opportunity for cadets, adult staff, and members of the Civilian Committee to come together and reflect on everything achieved over the past year. Dining in with the OC added a special sense of tradition and pride, giving everyone a chance to pause, celebrate, and recognise the progress, achievements, and spirit (and dance moves!) that define 295. It was a memorable way to close Cadet Week and honour the commitment of everyone involved in our squadron.
