REPAIR CAFE 7 JUNE! The parish council is about to CANCEL this event on 7 June as only one person has booked in for a (free!) repair, which is a huge shame. If you have anything broken (electrical, clothes or anything else), book yourself a slot BY WEDNESDAY 28 MAY by visiting the home page of the parish council website and using the booking form. Fingers crossed your item can be repaired for free rather than thrown away! (https://witchfordparishcouncil.gov.uk/)

Parish Council meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at St Andrews Hall on Main Street, starting at 7pm. Meetings are open to the public and everyone is welcome.

THANK YOU! With the weather warming, the annual, free home heat-loss survey programme using the parish thermal imaging camera is closed. A huge thank you to volunteer Keith McCourt for completing circa 30 home checks, helping residents understand where their homes were losing heat (losing money!) and possible easy ways to prevent this. Feedback continue to be great, with the short volunteer-run survey helping identify locations of heat loss in properties and giving guidance on options to fix...and save money!

New slots for free home energy surveys with the parish council thermal imaging camera! Book for NEXT WEEK using https://catchapp.co/u/witchfordparishcouncil-gmail-com/thermal-survey for the upcoming cold snap. Surveys take about 30 mins, and the volunteer will help identify if there are locations in your home or business where heat is escaping- whether missing insulation or a draughty window frame! It gives you the information to decide if any fixes are needed (e.g. draught excluders, added insulation), to help you reduce your energy bills.

Thermal camera survey update...there were only 3 takers for the recently offered surveys. The free survey takes around 30 minutes, a village volunteers comes to your property and helps to check where you are losing heat during cold weather - and advises on quick and cheap solutions to fix issues and save money on your heating bill! We'll offer more dates when the cold weather returns.

WATCH THIS SPACE...we are gearing up to offer the very popular thermal imaging camera scheme again this winter! A community volunteer comes to your home and uses the parish's thermal camera to help identify areas of heat loss and talk about potential ways to stop these...and save money in the long run! We'll launch the scheme once the weather starts to really cool, including how to book, but give this post a like if you'd be interested in a survey 😀
