Wisbech Donations Hub A partnership between The King's Church and the Ferry Project to help those in need of household goods and clothing.

Anyone can donate goods by bringing them to the QMC or we can arrange a collection. In order to receive help from us you need a referral.

We have two families who are in desperate need of single beds for their children. There is a 3-year-old who was sleeping on the floor but now can't even do this due to the cat having sprayed the mattress and despite washing it several times, the smell can't be removed. He also has hypermobility, so it is important for his health to have a bed of his own. We also have a child with bed-wetting issues who is now having to share a bed with a sibling and the family are unable to afford another bed. If you are able to help in any way, even if it is just donating a single bed frame or a single mattress, we would be very grateful and you would be helping these families so much. We are in need of cookers. These are basic household items that help someone in need when they have very little in their homes. Cookers provide a way for those in need to prepare healthy meals, as well as keeping the cost of feeding themsleves and their families down - as constantly eating takeaways is very expensive. We are in need of freezers. These are basic household items that help someone in need when they have very little in their homes. Freezers provide a way of keeping food safer for longer and help keep supermarket costs down when buying in bulk. Freezers are reaslly useful for somoene in need. As you tuck in to your Friday night takeaway - spare a though for those who don't have anything to cook with. A microwave makes a huge difference to someone in need who doesn't have the facilities to cook a hot meal. We would welcome donations of microwaves that we will ensure get given to someone in need in our community.
