The Old School Hall

19/10/2026

On Thursday 15th October, between 8:10pm and 8:20 the Buddy Bench was damaged, making the bench unsafe to use, by number of youths. They then put the bench upright making it look that no damaged was done, but it is not safe to leave it like that.

We have CCTV and still images of the damage taking place and the persons doing it, we have reported this criminal damage to the police.

If anyone knows who was involved then please contact the OSH or the police. We cannot allow this type of stupid behaviour to ruin the good work of many volunteers to help the local community.
I really hope that the young man is unharmed, who on Saturday sat on the bench thinking it would be a safe place to chat on his phone only for the bench to collapse and he fall backwards over the bench on to the grass.
