Our History Club went over to Quainton Windmill to hear about its restoration and for some to climb to the top!!
The windmill was built in 1832 by Mr James Anstiss and is still owned by a descendant today.
In May 1974,The Quainton Windmill Society was formed and in 1993 the windmill became fully operational.
It’s a beautiful building that was certainly worth a visit.

Our Garden Group recently visited allotments in Haversham that are rented out to Branch-Out a community interest company, that uses gardening to promote the mental health of 25 people with learning differences.
They also have a shop in Wolverton where they sell the flowers, they also make eco friendly wreaths,bouquets and arrangements.
They have previously won bronze and silver medals at Chelsea Flower Show.
After our tour plus tea and biscuits, we all left with a posy of beautiful flowers.

Our Happy Stitchers have excelled themselves,meeting every fortnight busily knitting 75 blankets,over 50 teddies,hats for soldiers to wear under their helmets and jumpers for children,all for the charity Hope and Aid Direct delivering to the Ukraine 🇺🇦

A small number of our Garden group visited Ascott House near Wing on a beautiful sunny day earlier this month.
The daffodils were almost over, but as you can see there was still plenty to see.
