This week at the Annual General Meeting of the Village Hall Trustees, and after 6 years, I stood down as Chair of the committee, and from the committee itself. Kay and Julie also stood down from the committee, although Kay will be overseeing and assisting with the monthly markets until the end of the year.
It has been an absolute pleasure and a privilege to serve the community as part of the hall organisation, and we thank everyone for all of their help, support and contributions during our time in post - committee members, stallholders, users, helpers, villagers, everyone.
Allan Leighton has been voted in as your new Chair and we wish him the very best of luck going forwards. I am confident he will do a great job. Although no longer part of the committee, I will still be running the monthly Movie Nights so I look forward to seeing all of the regular movie-goers, together with new faces.
Insofar as hall booking is concerned, there will be a handover to a new booking secretary in the coming weeks but, in the meantime, please continue to send bookings to me while this process in conducted. Thank you.
