Save Me Trust

Save Me Trust Welcome to Sir Brian May's Save Me Trust. We give wild animals a voice.
(228)

The Save Me Trust is an animal welfare organisation that exists to proactively protect wild animals through campaigns and collaboration. Save Me was set up by Dr Brian May and Anne Brummer in 2010 to give a voice to wild animals. We specialise in collaborating with experts and actively work to find effective solutions based on science and common sense. We work on the following campaigns:-

– Ame

nding the Hunting Act
– Stopping the Badger Cull
– Saving Britain’s Hedgehogs
– Wildlife and Construction
– Protecting Wildlife Habitats

Save Me operates alongside Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue (www.hawr.co.uk) which cares for and rehabilitates injured wildlife, inspiring campaigns such as Amazing Grace (www.gracethehedgehog.co.uk). We work to ensure that the wildlife saved by Harper Asprey have appropriate protection and environments to thrive in.

This was on the hottest day this year. Absolutely appalled to see a tethered Siberian Eagle Owl being displayed on the lawn Coworth Park in extreme heat — part of the The Dorchester Collection, a brand that should know far better when it comes to animal welfare and ethical standards.

The owl was clearly showing signs of distress in the soaring temperatures. Using a magnificent wild bird as a decorative attraction on one of the hottest days of the year is not luxury — it is cruel, irresponsible and completely unacceptable.

Animal welfare should never be sacrificed for image or entertainment. The Dorchester Collection should be ashamed that this was allowed to happen.
