You might have recently noticed the appearance of some wonderful new benches at the War Memorial and opposite The Ladyholme Centre.
Thanks to the superb carpentry skills at Windermere Woodsmiths funding from many local organisations has been turned into three bespoke benches replacing ones that, after many years use, had become very tired and unsafe.

Thanks to the generosity and support of Windermere Royal British Legion, Windermere Taverners, Rotary Club, Ambleside and Windermere Lions, The Type 42 Association, Windermere Round Table, Windermere & Bowness Town Council, , United Utilities and Windermere Masonic Lodge the benches will now safely serve our community for many years to come.

We would like to thank everyone concerned for supporting yet another of our community outreach projects.

At separate ceremonies during the last two weeks Simone Backhouse, who heads up delivery of our community outreach projects, was presented with an RHS 'Level 4 Thriving Neighbouhood Award' Certificate and a Windermere in Bloom Committee Trophy and Certificate for 'Public Amenity & Spaces'
Great work by all concerned and many congratulations.
