☀️ A lovely day had by everyone yesterday at Finkley Down Farm for our June weekend session!

The smiles were endless, and the way our young people supported, encouraged, and cared for one another was truly beautiful to see. Moments of teamwork, kindness, confidence and pure joy all wrapped into one sunny day together 💛

And of course… we celebrated our 1‑year anniversary in the best way possible with ice cream to cool off and enjoy 🥰🍦

Our Under 8 sessions will run every Wednesday across the 5 full weeks of the holidays:

🌟 Something lovely to share with you all
One of our parents has come across a local opportunity that we think many of our young people would really enjoy - SEND Dance Classes at Whiteparish Memorial Centre.

It’s a supportive, expressive space designed specifically for SEND children and young people to explore movement, music and creativity at their own pace.

✨ Introducing SEND Dance Classes at Dancecatz Romsey ✨

We believe that every child deserves the chance to dance, feel safe, and enjoy movement in a way that works for them.

Our new SEND dance classes are being created as a calm, supportive and judgement-free space, where dancers can explore movement, music and creativity at their own pace. Classes are gently structured but fully adaptable, focusing on confidence, enjoyment and individual needs.

These classes are for dancers who may not feel fully supported in a traditional dance setting and are designed with flexibility, understanding and care at their heart. Parents or carers will remain on site to support their child and help create a reassuring environment for everyone.

As this is a new offering for Dancecatz Romsey, we’ll be learning and growing alongside our dancers, adjusting class sizes, timings and structure to ensure the best possible experience.

📍 Thursday evenings (Starting April 16th)
📍 Whiteparish Memorial Hall

Summer Holiday Provisional Bookings Are Now Open

We will be opening for the full five weeks of the summer, running from Monday 27th July to Friday 28th August.

Venue
TBC, but sessions are expected to run between Colden Common Community Centre and The Hilt (Hiltingbury). Final confirmation will be shared as soon as possible.

Hall Days (Tues–Thurs each week)
Allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Wednesdays will also be open to Under 8s - a separate booking form will be sent to those families.

Trip Days (Mondays & Fridays)
These will be our bigger days out. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis where possible, with additional consideration of suitability, discussed with parents and carers.

Important Date Changes
Friday 14th August – CLOSED
Thursday 27th August – Trip Day (due to venue availability)

That’s all the decorations and lights up now! The whole room has transformed — the soft glow from the bubble tubes, the cosy corner with the grass patch, the jellyfish lanterns drifting overhead, and the twinkly ceiling lights all make it feel like a little underwater hideaway.

Not going to lie… I think this might become my new office 🙈🥰

We haven’t shared a sensory room update for a little while, so here it is!
Everyone has been really enjoying the space when they visit — that calm, quiet corner to escape to when they need a breather.

Today we finally added the fish to the bubble tube and popped some fake grass into the corner… and as you can see, it’s already a big hit!

We’ve also got some new lights and ceiling decorations ready to go up now that it’s not quite so cold (less condensation 🤞). Can’t wait to show you the next little changes.

A lovely day spent at Marwell Zoo to finish off a fun‑packed week! The young people were absolute stars so many smiles, so much excitement, and plenty of animal‑spotting along the way. The animals didn’t disappoint, the sunshine helped, and the joy on their faces says it all. A brilliant end to a fantastic week together 💛🦒🦁

🌟 What an amazing day we had at the Watercress Line!

Wow our day out with Thomas was absolutely brilliant. Every single young person was fantastic, so patient, and fully embraced the whole experience. Watching everyone enjoy the trains, the atmosphere, and each other’s company was just magic 💙🚂

Days like today remind us why we do what we do, confidence, joy, connection, and memories that will last a long time.
