Well last week certainly seemed like everyone had an absolute blast! The heat definitely didn’t stop them or slow them down if anything, it made the fun even bigger!

From adventures at Lakeside Country Park, to strikes and smiles at Hollywood Bowl, and finishing off at one of our firm favourites, Colden Common community centre!

📢 Thursday Session Cancelled

Due to extreme indoor temperatures within the community centre this afternoon and with very limited airflow, we’ve made the decision to cancel tomorrow’s session for safety. Many of our young people struggle with heat regulation, so we need to put their health and wellbeing first.

I’ll be in touch next week to arrange refunds for the missed session.

Superstar alert! 🌟

Can we just take a moment to celebrate this incredible young lady and her wonderful family?

The last couple of months haven’t been easy. The outside world has felt overwhelming for her, and together they’ve stayed close, supported one another, and worked through every challenge side by side. Their determination, patience and love have truly shone.

And now… look at her go!
Over the last few weeks she has excelled managing every trip out with growing confidence, joy and independence. She even ran out of the car this morning for an extra adventure to the Watercress Line for a day out with Thomas 🥰🚂

And as if that wasn’t enough… yesterday she achieved her first swimming certificate! 🥰💦

Well done, Juniper keep shining, keep growing, and keep being your amazing self.

🌊 Wow, what a Monday!
We ventured down to Hamble for a trip out on Wetwheels Hamble, and it absolutely did not disappoint. There were so many laughs, plenty of fun, and a group of very wet young people by the end, the best kind of memories.

There’s something magical about a fast boat ride… somehow thrilling and relaxing all at once. Our young people were incredible, following every instruction from the skipper and crew beautifully, confident, respectful, and fully embracing the adventure.

To round off the day, we tied our boat trips in with a visit to Victoria Country Park, giving everyone time to explore, unwind, and enjoy the sunshine together.

🌿 Friday looked like a day thoroughly enjoyed by everyone!

While I was away in London, the team and young people headed out to Itchen Valley for a calm, nature‑filled morning of exploring, adventuring, and plenty of park fun.

Afterwards, they enjoyed a relaxed swimming session splashing, floating, and unwinding together at just the right Friday pace.

And of course… it wouldn’t be a New Leaf day out without finishing with a firm favourite: Costa ☕💛

🌞 Wednesday brought such a lovely day with our under‑8s!
They dived straight into our beach and summer theme — splashing in water play, digging and pouring with sand play, and getting creative with bright craft activities. So much curiosity, calm exploration, and happy little faces all morning 💛

🍦 Then Thursday kept the momentum going with another fun‑filled day in the hall bubbles galore, more ice cream parlours (because… why not!), and a big party‑style picnic lunch. The whole day was packed with connection, interaction, and those gorgeous moments of confidence and friendship we love to see.

What a week full hearts, full tummies, and full of smiles.

🌟 What an amazing week we had last week!
It honestly feels like a blur — the days are flying by and our young people are packing so much into every session!

Tuesday was full of new faces, a few nerves, plenty of fun, and lots of hands‑on activities. We made colourful fruit kebabs, got stuck into meal prep, and finished the day with our very own ice cream parlours the perfect mix of confidence‑building and creativity 💛

Here’s to more weeks filled with smiles, skills, and sunshine!

Whilst everyone else enjoyed a lovely, fun‑filled day in the hall, we quietly snuck off to Paultons Park for a bit of our own fun and enjoyment. Sometimes you just need a little adventure of your own! 💚🎢

Sometimes hall days aren’t for everyone and that’s okay. Some days the world is just a bit too much, so we try something different. We learn, we plan, we adapt… and we find joy in the moments that work for us. 💚🌿
