Could you do something active in September?

Here at The Boaz Project we have decided to make the month of September as sporty as possible. As we build up to our Family Fun Run Day on Saturday 26th September, we have a number of events that you can support.

Our super friends at River Coffee will be taking on the Clarendon Way challenge, hiking the 26 miles from Salisbury Cathedral to Wi******er, on Saturday 12th Sept. If you can spare a few pounds to reward their efforts, please use the link below:

Another ‘Hands Together’ success story.

Boaz member Jamie has just completed a 6 week supported work placement at The Grange Vineyard and Winery near Alresford.

Jamie was supported by Vanessa - one of our wonderful Boaz volunteers. In addition to carefully labelling and packing the delicious wines produced, Jamie was also tasked with manoeuvring the palette truck, pruning the vines and lifting wires.

Vineyard Manager Samuel Philppot, was delighted to champion the Hands Together work placement, “It was great to have Jamie with us, we are very happy with his positive attitude and the work he’s done.”

If you would like to volunteer your time to support an adult with learning disabilities in a work setting, we would love to hear from you.

The month of July was a busy one for Boaz, but we were thrilled to be able to help the team at Arqiva with the prep for their 2026 Arqiva Live event!

Members Julian, Tom and Scott were fantastic ambassadors for Boaz and Arqiva were very grateful for their help.

Jane Pratt - Executive Assistant to Shuja Khan said, “The packing of goody bags saved us a vast amount of time, and it was so lovely to meet Tom, Julian and Scott.”

This is the second year Boaz members have participated in valuable work experience at Arqiva, and we are very thankful of the opportunity to enrich the Boaz experience our members receive.

The good folk at SimplyHealth have been supporting Boaz for a number of years, and a brilliant team of 12 recently completed a volunteering day at Hill Farm.

Even though we were all wilting with the heat, weeds were dug up, brambles cut back and the front of our main building received a lick of paint.

Aimee Goldsmith, Finance Reporting & Compliance Analyst at SimplyHealth said, “The team had a fantastic time on Tuesday, and were pleased to have enjoyed such a productive day.”

She added, “We thoroughly enjoy supporting Boaz. The days with members are fantastic and we are always made to feel very welcome. Additionally, we really enjoy the task days, and come away feeling like we’ve made a difference to day to day life at Boaz.”

Thank you SimplyHealth, we are very grateful for your support and hard work.

If you have a local business and would be interested in hosting a volunteering day at Boaz, get in touch with Cat Phillips to find out more.
