Thanks to our Corporate Partner and neighbour Howden Insurance for coming in and chatting to our volunteers.

It was nice to put a friendly face to a name while Howden reiterated their kind offer - a donation to our charity each time someone purchases an insurance policy from the Wi******er branch and quotes 'Play to the Crowd'.

We continue to thank them for supporting our charity's work, namely Playmakers Youth Theatre.

Our appreciation goes out once more to our brilliant volunteer ushers who recently attended a briefing at Theatre Royal Wi******er.

It was a chance for us to socialise, say thank you for the many hours they dedicate to us, and to update them on our charity's work - our achievements and ambitions.

We talked through our new handbook, with guidance on providing the warmest and most inclusive welcome to audiences, and we practised evacuating the building.

We're confident you're in safe hands!

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve received £398k from Arts Council England to support vital improvements to our heritage building, Theatre Royal Wi******er.

This investment will help safeguard the theatre’s future, including replacing outdated boilers and installing a new LED stage lighting system to improve sustainability.

On Sunday, as part of our ongoing work as a Theatre of Sanctuary, we helped facilitate a group of 57 Ukrainian families living in Bristol.

Funded by the Good Faith Partnership in Bristol, the Hope Hub group enjoyed a guided tour of Wi******er.

After, they gathered at Milner Hall, where they met and chat with members of our own local Ukrainian community from the Wi******er City of Sanctuary Hub while we provided refreshments.

Thank you to St Peters Church for letting us use the beautiful space so these two communities to could connect.
