Our Story
At Tower House Horses we have the privilege of helping a wide community of groups and individuals. Our horses have improved the lives of many, such as those in recovery from substance misuse, young people and adults with mental health issues, ex-offenders, victims of domestic abuse and young carers. We also enjoy working with businesses who want to achieve better communication and leadership skills within their teams, through equine assisted learning and development.
The field of EAL has grown out of the special relationship humans and horses have shared for thousands of years. Horses respond instinctively to who you are, how you feel, what you think and what you do. They give instant, accurate feedback, without judgement and are perfect role models of emotional congruence and integrity. Pooks, Rocky, Blackie, Tommy and Woody have all helped our clients to gain insight into themselves, to grow in confidence and acquire life skills to deal with the challenges they face.
Established as a Community Interest Company (CIC) in 2012, Tower House Horses became a charity (CIO) in January 2019. For more information go to www.towerhousehorses.org
