🌟 Short notice paid filming opportunity! 🌟 Response needed TUESDAY 18 AUGUST

🎬We have been contacted by media company Pubity who are looking for people to take part in a new filmed conversation series exploring how experiences, lives and culture have changed across generations.

Specifically they are looking for women from two generations of the British Armed Forces — a female veteran, ideally aged 60+, and a younger serving female soldier, ideally in her 20s.

They plan to bring them together for an open and honest conversation about what it has meant to be a woman in the military across two very different generations — from opportunities and expectations to sexism, training, relationships, deployment, women's roles in conflict and how much life for women in the Armed Forces has changed.

Filming takes place on 10/11 September in East London and will take one hour. Travel expenses are not covered but there is a fee of £150. If you would like to be considered, please make contact TODAY with their producer Alana via WhatsApp - 07803626092.

🦁 It's World Lion Day! 🦁
Our favourite fact about the lion family is that a pride of lions (and lionesses!) are the only members of the cat family who roar together! 📣
We know how powerful our Lionesses can be when you all roar together, cheering each other on and having a roaring good time! 🥳
What does it mean to you to be a Lioness?

As the WRAC Association moves from Sir John Moore Barracks back to Worthy Down Camp, Jane attended the last ever passing out parade of ATR Wi******er this morning, alongside ex-WRAC Debs and Mandy who have both worked here over the years.
Congratulations to all those who passed out today and farewell to the Barracks. We've loved being part of this community of recruits just beginning their Army careers.

Have you received reparations because of the pre-2000 'gay-ban' in the British Armed Forces? Maybe you received your beret and cap-badge, Etherton Pin or financial award. Could you take part in a publicity campaign? The window for applications closes on December 12th and we are keen to reach as many people as possible to let them know the deadline.

Real people telling real stories will make the biggest impact so we are looking for people who feel comfortable being visible as part of the campaign.

We hope to reflect the range of people who were affected. The campaign will include photographs from now, and if you have one from when you served as well as quotes from those taking part.

The photography sessions are THIS WEEK (29th and 30th July) in Derby City Centre and travel expenses will be paid. Please contact: [email protected] if you are interested.

Have your voice heard in the corridors of power, and represent female veterans.
The Public Appointments Recruitment campaign for the new MOD Women Veterans Forum is now open, and closes at 10:00 on 20 August 2026.
In the words of the Minister for Veterans & People, Calvin Bailey MP "Defence can do better at recognising, understanding and celebrating women’s service and experiences. We have committed to establishing this forum of 10-15 women veterans, and we want to hear from as wide a range of women veterans as possible. Whether they served in the Navy, Army or RAF, in the Regulars or Reserves, whether they left 5 months or 50 years ago, we’d welcome their application".
Would you like to be considered? Find out more and apply at: apply-for-public-appointment.service.gov.uk/roles/9497?titleSearch=&body=59049®ulated=&bodyJustice=&remunerated=&status=open&sort=openingAt%3Adesc
