A club for 18-30 year olds, offering the chance to be involved in supporting the local community, fundraising and meeting some new people.

Rotaract is an opportunity to be part of a fun, dynamic and unique International organisation for people aged 18-30, offering a wide range of activities that will enable you to try something new, whilst having a great time and meeting others. Rotaract offers a wide choice of social activities, actively supports your local community, raises money for charity and gives you the opportunity to develop your personal skills and gain new life experiences in the UK and abroad.

We recently joined Wi******er Rotary UK to help with their annual senior citizens’ tea party. Such a fun afternoon chatting with guests, lending a hand, and enjoying plenty of 60s & 70s music and delicious food!

Yesterday, on Christmas morning, 3200 boxes full of toys and presents were opened - delivered to families whose children have suffered or witnessed domestic abuse; hopefully offering some wonder that day.

Over three days across November and December (the first three photos), Rotaract Wi******er, Queen Mary's Rotaract and Rotaract Club Westminster International, along with the Rotary clubs of the district, all teamed up with the Kids in Mind initiative (website as below). We managed to collate an incredible 2327 boxes from a Stratford warehouse.

Well done everyone! Hopefully the person reading this has had a nice rest throughout the festive period. See you in 2026!

On Sunday 14th December, some brave souls from Rotaract and Rotary ventured to Hinton Ampner to planting variety of trees on a muddy farmyard, near a Christmas-themed barn!

With 20 of us, how many did we manage to plant in 5 hours? 1136. Yup. Many hands make light work indeed.

Thanks to Wi******er Rotary UK and the Hinton Ampner - National Trust for the opportunity - heck even the Mayor of Wi******er turned up to lend a green hand! Looking forward to the next one.

Awesome sights volunteering at the Wi******er Bonfire and Fireworks, organised by Wi******er Round Table - thank you for allowing us to volunteer at this incredible event but also the University of Wi******er 's event society for some amazing volunteering! Lot of fun doing it with you, and definitely couldn't have done it without you.

We underwent a little iniative last month during Breast Cancer Awareness Week with Cigli Rotaract, a club in Turkey - the joint project highlighting the importance of being checked earlier rather than later. Whatever the month and if in any doubt... get it seen!

Since it is - sharing this from last year's activity, planting Crocuses by the King Aflred statue. Crocuses are Rotary's symbol for the worldwide campaign to eradicate polio.

The purple 🟣 color of the crocus represents the dye used to mark the finger of a child who has been immunised against polio.

This Saturday, they will be reviewed and perhaps renewed, as organised by !

Our District rep Michael fundraising for Wi******er Hospice by completing a special night shift! Exercising from 18:00 to 06:00, boxing, Zumba, solent disco, bootcamp, clubbercise, yoga, the lot. All organised by Wi******er Hospice and FitState - who were a truly amazing team to do this with, full of team spirit and do-goodery.

Fundraising for the Hospice in memory of an old colleague, who volunteered at this very organisation, providing specialist end-of-life care to adults in Wi******er.

What we did over the summer holidays... part 2 of 2...

Truth betold this could've been 3 parts, due to how much we did!

One beach visit, both Polish and London Westminster club handovers... along with Matt's very own extended European tour! See him blend into the surroundings.

From arm-wrestling to scavenger hunts, what Rotaract does is try to balance volunteering with socialising, which we think we've succeeded at! From time to time a break doesn't hurt.

Big smiles, bigger laughs, friends made, and a whole lotta good karma. That's the Clarendon Marathon vibe. Wi******er Rotary UK cooked up this one! We only served 😎. This is their sigma project to pump funds back into our community. We were stoked to team up with University of Wi******er events society Handing out medals 🥇, T-shirts, and water to over the 1,000 absolute legends. Same time, same place next year? Bet!

What we did on our Summer hols... Part 1 of 2....

Our President, Thomas, volunteered abroad in Thailand for a month!

When not busy immersing himself in the awesome and varied local culture (longest zip line... Muay Thai fights...), Thomas helped run workshops covering personal hygiene, sanitation, food and nutrition ... along with confidence, communication and, coincidentally, leadership.

At one point, despite political tensions between Cambodia and Thailand (as outlined in his cracking article below), they even taught young monks along the way!

Even when not volunteering... still finding a way to manage holidays crossed over with do-goodery! Smashing stuff, Thomas. For way more of an insight, check out the link below:
