Guernsey's Lost & Found Pets Let’s Get Them Home…
Marianne~Admin 07781 190028/Janie~07781 143901 The cats were interbreeding and this led to a lot of pain and suffering for them.

Guernsey Animal Aid was founded in 1998 by Sue Vidamour as an answer to the feral cat problem in Guernsey. Prior to this Sue had been rehoming horses and dogs for 6 years. In 1998 there were many feral cat colonies on the island so Sue held a meeting about the problem and Guernsey Animal Aid was formed. Since this first meeting over 700 feral cats have been neutered or spayed and the kittens re-ho

med. Now thanks to the efforts of Sue and the rest of the Guernsey Animal Aid gang, feral cats are a shrinking problem. However it is one that we need to keep on top of and here at Guernsey Animal Aid that’s exactly what we intend to do. Over the years Guernsey Animal Aid expanded and eventually we were taking on all animals, no matter how big or small. We were a rescue center & sanctuary and we never turned an animal in need away. Unfortunately after many years of rescuing animals in need, due to health issues, Sue was no longer able to look after so many animals, even with the help of all the volunteers, so it was with a heavy heart that Guernsey Animal Aid was shut down. We re-homed the animals that were suitable for re-homing. The ponies, the rabbits and guinea pigs. The parrots were all taken to specialist sanctuaries in the UK. It was decided however that we couldn’t stop the work we were doing for feral cats on the Island. If we stopped now, then the problem would come back and the feral cat situation would gradually get out of control again. So any remaining money that had been donated to us before we shut down was used towards this scheme. Since then we have decided to re-open. This time though we would put all of our resources into cats and a few select cases for dogs.

‼️LOST‼️PLEASE HELP‼️
Loki is missing. He is male , black, he is neutered and microchipped. He was last seen on 25 June 2026 at Les Naftiaux, St Andrews. Please check any sheds, garages and outbuildings. Loki is an indoor cat, he has never been outside before so he will not know his surroundings and will most likely be very frightened. His owner is very worried and we would love to see Loki reunited with his family. If you see Loki please call 07839 407620 Thank you

‼️ LONG LOST CATS ~ CLEO AND BELLA ‼️
We are once again appealing to the community for any information about two much~loved black girls who disappeared in 2025 and have never been found.

Cleo went missing from Clos Des Pecqueries, St Sampsons on the North West coast. Despite extensive searches and enquiries at the time, there have been no confirmed sightings and her family still hopes for answers.

Bella disappeared from Houmtel Lane, near Vale Mill., Vale. Like Cleo, Bella vanished without a trace and remains deeply missed by those who love her.

We have reunited cats with their owners years after going missing, most have struggled to survive on their own or have been taken in by well~meaning people who assume they are stray. They could be anywhere in the Island.

❓Do you know anyone that has taken in a stray black girl cat in the last year or so?

❓Is there a small black girl cat in your area that is constantly begging for food and attention?

Please share widely. This post might trigger someone to stop and think about a black cat they have seen in their area, but they haven’t figured out who the owner is.

🔸🚴‍♀️THIS AMAZING LADY IS CYCLING 1000 MILES THIS WEEKEND, PLEASE GIVE HER YOUR SUPPORT🚴‍♀️🔸
Annie is doing a solo ride from Lands End to John O'Groats for 3 animal charities on 27 June 2026.
We cannot believe how quickly this has come around already as Annie will be starting her ride this coming Saturday.

You can follow Annie’s progress here

This is Jasper. As a kitten, he had severe conjunctivitis and was due to be put to sleep, but a small rescue stepped in, nursed him back to health, and he came to live with me alongside his best friend, Miss Tulip.

To give back, I’m taking on a solo cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats starting 27 June 2026—around 1,000 miles and 37,000 feet of climbing over 8 days. It’s a huge challenge!

I’d really appreciate your support. I’m raising funds for GSPCA and Guernsey Lost & Found Pets, and Stray Cat Rescue Team WM who all do amazing work helping animals and reuniting them with their owners 🐾

‼️GORGEOUS TABBY STILL NOT CLAIMED~POSSIBLE LONG LOST CAT‼️

This gorgeous boy was trapped at Courtil St Jacques for causing a little bother and he was taken to the Gspca on 10 June. He has yet to be claimed.

Very sadly he is not neutered or microchipped, and he has been in the Courtil St Jacques area for months.

Please double check with anyone if they are missing their tabby boy, or anyone else you think might not be on fb. He may have come from anywhere on the island originally.

Proof of ownership will be required.

PLEASE NOTE: If he is not claimed by 1 July, he may be available for adoption. Applicants should contact the GSPCA direct to register an interest.

🔺POLITE NOTICE REGARDING MICROCHIPS🔺
We are aware that there are many owners who have the details of their pets microchip, and believe that they are registered on the National Database. Very sadly, we are seeing far too many cases where pet and owner could have been reunited much earlier, had their details been properly registered.
This post is to make everyone aware of the situation, and we ask you to ensure that your pets details are registered on the National Database, and not just with your veterinary practice. It is a relatively simple process to register your pets microchip, and this will also ensure that you are reunited with your pet as soon as possible, should it go missing. If anyone requires help or advice with this process please send us a message 🐾
