Have you considered using your place in the Wi******er Half Marathon to raise funds for Wi******er Hospice? Three months ago, Sam used his place in the Southampton Marathon to raise an incredibly helpful sum of money for the hospice.

If you want to use your place at a challenge event to raise money for the hospice, we ask that you raise as much as you can and in return, we can supply you with any fundraising materials you may need.

Look who came into the hospice! Last week, Muffin the shetland pony came in to try out being a therapy pony for the first time. He did very well and brought smiles to a lot of patients and their families.

Also, in case you were wondering, Muffin was paid very handsomely for his time with grass from the hospice garden.

A huge thank you to Lisa, Muffin's handler, for bringing him along and brightening all of our days.

A massive thank you to the team at Boomtown Fair for their incredible hospitality over the last few days. The festival is generously donating £100,000 to Wi******er Hospice and invited some of the staff and trustees to see what it's all about - and what a place it is!

Both Boomtown and the hospice are all about living life to the full and the festival's theme of 'living life in full colour' was certainly on display during our visit. Everyone was having the best time and we're so grateful that we were able to experience it too.

A huge thank you to all of those who visited the Abbotts Barton Care Home Summer Fete last Saturday. It was a wonderful event full of good food, wonderful games and a very generous raffle ran by Abbots Barton themselves. Even the Mayor of Wi******er, Cllr Jamie Scott, visited our stall.

The fete managed to raise nearly £800 and is just one of the many events Abbots Barton will be doing throughout the year to raise funds for Wi******er Hospice.

We're looking for an enthusiastic administrator to join our team to support the growth of our fundraising income and awareness of our work throughout the community we serve.

You will play an integral role in the charity and specifically assist the fundraising team in providing basic finance and banking support, donor administration, stock control, ordering of office supplies, managing enquiries and supporting charity events.

Nony and Sam, as well as the hospice team, are all getting excited for The Purple Night Walk on Saturday 19 September.

This is the third year the wonderful team at Nony Kerr-Smiley have sponsored the walk, allowing us to make it a possibility, and we want to give them a huge thank you for their continued support of the hospice, making events like the Purple Night Walk possible.

So, thank you to both Nony and Sam for allowing us to plan these events before tickets even go on sale, so we can ensure they go smoothly and are fun for everyone who attends.

A massive thank you to the Mad Chatters, who recently organised a wonderful fundraising evening.

All 50 attendees from the St Cross Kitchen Dancers, as well as some friends, spent the evening listening to beautiful jazz music and keeping spirits high which allowed them to raise an amazing £600 for the hospice.

A huge thank you to Waitrose & Partners for choosing Wi******er Hospice for their Community Matters scheme, with another huge thank you to all the shoppers who voted for the hospice after doing their shopping.

Your votes meant that we were the most voted project and received an amazing donation of £1,500.
