We know we’re a little early for Christmas, but we don’t want you to miss out 🎄✨

We’re delighted to be hosting our very first Wreath Making Fundraiser on Wednesday 25 November. Join us for a festive evening of creativity as we welcome the Christmas season by making your very own Christmas wreath.

Whether you’re an experienced crafter or a complete beginner, you’ll have everything you need to create a beautiful, handmade wreath to take home. You may want to make your wreath as a gift for someone special or enjoy a little festive treat for yourself.

A big thank you to Rekan for their generous donation of teddy bears for our toy shed 🐻💙

Rekan recently celebrated their 15th anniversary, and they kindly donated a generous selection of remaining teddy bears from their event to us on Thursday. We are so grateful for their generosity, and for thinking of our toy shed.

Our 5s to 13s children enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at the Salvation Army Hall on Wednesday 7 October, exploring weaving, wrapping sticks and making colourful pompoms with Elizabeth, our Volunteer and Operations Coordinator, and their befrienders ☺️

Using handmade looms, yarns and ribbons, the children and their befrienders learned new skills, got creative, and proudly showed off their fantastic creations.

One little girl proudly shared: “My pompom is so soft and fluffy, it dances when I jiggle it up and down!” 💙

It was a lovely afternoon of creativity and quality time together.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our Annual General Meeting yesterday. It was a joy to have the support of so many of our partners, supporters, and friends.

The day gave us the opportunity to reflect on the past year, share some of our highlights, and celebrate many of our success stories. From the people and families we have supported, to the activities and trips we have facilitated, it was a great reminder of the difference our work makes.

We also shared our exciting plans for our new Cookery Club, which will provide an opportunity to support dads. The initiative will help dads build their confidence, develop new skills, and create opportunities to connect with their children.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to support our work. Your support makes a real difference, and we look forward to sharing more positive stories and successes with you over the coming months 💙

Last Wednesday, Walnut Tree Farm opened its gates to our 5s to 13s children 🐔🐴

The children and their befrienders were introduced to the farm’s different animals by owner, Paula Baker. They all had the chance to hold chickens, feed the goats and sheep, collect peacock feathers, and stroke the horses. They were also introduced to the farm’s newest residents; Ethel and Stan, the emus, which the children loved.

The children and volunteers had a fantastic time enjoying the beautiful autumn sunshine, while getting up close and personal with the animals. It was a wonderful hands-on experience that everyone thoroughly enjoyed 😀

A big well done to Cat and Marty for completing their 10K run 👏🤩

We caught up with Cat afterwards, who said: “Luckily, we didn’t get too wet. It was a great event and such a beautiful run through the New Forest.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us. It really helped get me around the course!”
