Winnall Rock School improves the quality of lives of young people and their families in Winchester by providing free music tuition and band workshops for young people with poor access to such opportunities or who need additional support. In a lively, e
nthusiastic and supportive atmosphere, we welcome young people with all levels of ability. Founded in 2004, we have now built a reputation for delivering high quality workshops and performances. We became a registered charity in 2014. We have guitars, bass, keyboards, drums, amplifiers, microphones, PA systems and a few surprises too. Coordinated by a professional music leader, local musicians volunteer their services to coach, nurture and support young people to learn to play these instruments, sing and write their own songs. This culminates in two live shows each year. Please contact us if you’d like to join us as a member or volunteer. Our outreach and tuition services remain on hold at present whilst we make decisions about our future. We are very grateful to our funders and supporters who help maintain our service.
