Babushka - A Company of Fools 'A Company of Fools' is a student run theatre company at Peter Symonds. Use this page to keep up to date with our latest production of 'The Babushka'.

'Follow a reluctant man's journey on the Trans-Siberian Express accompanied only by a mysterious and odd old woman who spends her time praying, knitting and pretending to be a chicken. It's the journey of a lifetime, just a shame neither of them will enjoy a single minute of it.'

Peter Symonds' in-house theatre production company brings you it's first ever original play, The Babushka by Jake Mace. Auditions for Symonds students will run on the 13th September 2016.

Hi, I'm Tapuwa and I am lead director on this years college production, the Babushka.

This year is so exciting for the team and I as we get to realise a completely original comedic piece of drama. Not only was good friend and script writing talent Jake Mace enough to get me onto the project, the world presented in script and on stage is truly captivating. This is the first time I'll be directing with actors of my own age and it has been an absolute joy to feed off of each other.

In the future I'd like to have drama as part of my life, as both a career and / or a source of fun. Its such an important part of the world we live in, and just as The Babushka does it provides a thinking piece as well as entertainment.

So, come on down and support us all. Can't wait to see you on a show night!
