Yesterday the sun was shining and we had a great volunteer team in from Premier Foods.

They worked so hard!
Grass mowed
Patio tidied and swept
She’d tidied up
Walls in garden painted
Lobby painted

We can’t thank them enough, they were paid in tea and donuts 🍩.

Volunteer groups like this make all the difference to small organisations like Unit12

One of our advisers will be at the food bank at Unit 12 CIC in Winnall this coming Thursday (8 October) and the following Tuesday (13 October) between 10am and 1pm.

They will be on hand to answer any questions and support individuals with advice about the issues they're facing, from money worries and debt to housing rights and relationship disputes.

Volunteer positions!!

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Fundraising Lead to help Unit 12 CIC develop its fundraising and build the resources we need to continue and expand our work in the local community. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing people together, spotting opportunities and turning good ideas into action.

We are also looking for an organised, practical and enthusiastic Operational Lead to help Unit 12 CIC develop the way we run our community centre and make the best possible use of our building, resources and volunteers.This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys making things work better. You might have experience in operations, project management, facilities, administration, business or community organisations – but we’re equally interested in someone who simply has good organisational skills, common sense and plenty of ideas.
The role is not intended to be a hands-on facilities or caretaker position. Instead, the Operational Lead will help us look at the bigger picture, identify improvements and help turn ideas into practical action.

Last week unit12 was lucky enough to have a volunteer team in from DDC Wi******er on site. After some colour choosing from us at the Unit they came in and gave studio 1&2 a makeover.
