Our Quiet Hours are designed to provide an even calmer, more relaxed environment.

Your ticket includes exhibition access (9:30–11am) and a Planetarium show at 11am.

Please note: from 11am, the Centre opens to all and noise levels will rise.

🌍💚 This week is Green Week!💚🌍

We've been working on bringing sustainable science to life — showing how real-world innovations and hands-on experiences go hand in hand.

This year we said goodbye to fossil fuel and replaced our heating system with a brand new air source heat pump system for the whole centre.

We also introduced a brand new exhibit, Eco House! Little builders can put on hard hats and high-vis, choose sustainable materials, design their dream home at the drafting table, and explore stylish interiors in a fun, hands-on way that brings eco-friendly living to life.🏡

We’ve introduced fun new role‑play bibs as part of our Eco House exhibit at Wi******er Science Centre.

Designed with inclusivity in mind, these updated bibs are easier to put on for visitors who use wheelchairs and are able to fit a greater proportion of people.

We're looking for a new Visitor Operations Assistant to join the team at Wi******er Science Centre.

This isn't just a job. It's an opportunity to gain experience across admissions, visitor welcome, retail, hospitality and events while helping create unforgettable experiences for the children, families and schools who visit us every year.

Inspired by the findings of the Milburn Report, this role has been created for a young person who is currently not in employment, education or training and looking to take their first step into the workplace.
