We were pleased to visit the Senedd (Welsh Parliament) earlier this week, meeting with Members of the Senedd from across the political parties to raise awareness of liver disease.

We spoke to them about the importance of early diagnosis, the need to improve liver disease services, and ensuring better outcomes for people living with liver disease across Wales.

Finding out that she could be at risk of liver cancer came as a real shock to Diane. She had been living with primary biliary cholangitis for nearly 20 years when she received an email from her consultant saying AFP markers had been detected in her blood tests. After a nerve-wracking six-week wait for her MRI results, Diane rang our Nurse-led Helpline for advice and support.
