Over the 20th century, our towns in Hampshire grew and changed shape and all over the county, building was a booming trade.

Over the course of the Hunters & Gatherers project, our Hunter volunteers audited objects in our collection which tell the stories of building companies from across Hampshire.

Do you know anyone who worked for a Hampshire building business?

Were any of your relatives in the Women's Land Army?

Salute the Solider Weeks were national campaigns which tasked each county to raise money to sponsor British Army equipment.

The Women's Land Army were a key part of the wartime effort, making sure the farms kept running to prevent national starvation they also participated in events like this to suport the soliders and raise morale of the people.
