🇺🇦 Запрошуємо на арт-терапевтичний воркшоп «Дихай вільно» у межах проєкту Let’s Be Smokefree. Цей воркшоп для тих, хто хоче відмовитися від паління, або вже робить перші кроки до життя без сигарет, чи вже кинув палити але потребує підтримки.

Воркшоп проведе Viktoriia Bezugla — художниця та арт-фасилітаторка з багаторічним досвідом викладання мистецтва та підготовкою у сфері арт-терапії. Під час воркшопу ми будемо використовувати різні художні матеріали та прості творчі практики, щоб дослідити свої емоції й звички, зменшити напругу та знайти нові способи підтримувати себе в процесі змін.

👩‍🎨🎨 Вміти малювати не потрібно. Головне — творчий процес, ваші відчуття та можливість через мистецтво зробити крок до позитивних змін

🇬🇧 Wi******er Ukrainian Cultural Association invite you to the “Breathe Freely” art therapy workshop, held as part of the Let’s Be Smokefree project.
This workshop is for anyone who wants to stop smoking, has already taken their first steps towards a smoke-free life, or has quit smoking but would benefit from some additional support.
The workshop will be led by Viktoriia Bezugla, an artist and art facilitator with many years of experience teaching art and training in art therapy. We will use a variety of art materials and simple creative practices to explore our emotions and habits, reduce stress, and discover new ways to support ourselves through the process of change.
👩‍🎨🎨 No drawing skills are needed. What matters is the creative process, your feelings, and the opportunity to take a positive step through art.

📚 WUCA Reading Club — our next book!
At our latest Reading Club meeting, we discussed The Women by Kristin Hannah — a powerful story about women and war, courage, friendship and the difficult journey back to ordinary life.
We talked a lot about the importance of women supporting each other, and about how women’s experiences and contributions during war can so easily be overlooked.

And now we’re moving on to our next book!
✨ Our club has chosen Circe by Madeline Miller ✨
A modern retelling of Greek mythology, Circe is a story of magic, love, motherhood, independence and a woman discovering her own strength and choosing her own path.
🎃 We’ll meet to discuss it on 30 October — just before Halloween, so a book about gods, magic and one of Greek mythology’s most famous witches feels like a perfect choice!
📖 There’s still plenty of time to read it and join us.

🇺🇦 Ukraine’s Independence Day in Wi******er: A Night of Unity, Culture, and Heartfelt Support! 💙💛
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate Ukraine’s Independence Day! It was an incredible evening where traditional Ukrainian art beautifully intertwined with modern and classical performances, creating a special atmosphere of warmth and solidarity.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of Wi******er’s twin city — Nizhyn. We had the honour of sharing a video about Nizhyn and delivering a warm video greeting from the Mayor of Nizhyn, Oleksandr Kodola , to the entire Wi******er community!
We express our deepest gratitude to everyone who made this celebration possible:
• St Paul's & St Matthew's churches, Wi******er — for your hospitality and for welcoming us to host such an important day within your walls.
• Wi******er City Council — for your ongoing help, support in organising the event, and unwavering solidarity with the Ukrainian community.
• Our distinguished guests and friends of Ukraine: Mayor of Wi******er Cllr Jamie Scott and Mayoress Wendy, Danny Chambers MP, as well as Cllr Sudhakar Achwal and Cllr Vivian Achwal — for your presence, attention, and warm words of support.
• All our performers who gifted us a live musical concert and unforgettable performances: Ukrainian Choir “Kalyna” - UK, Dance Group Chervona Ruta, Liliya Solomonova & Ava Solomonova-Satchwell, and Zarina Ivanova.
• Our incredible volunteers — for your time, energy, ideas, and for making the impossible possible time and time again! This event simply wouldn't have happened without you.
• All the guests and community members who attended, participated in the charity raffle, and left their heartfelt messages of support for Ukraine!
• And to everyone who couldn't join us in person but sent their warm messages of support — we truly felt your presence and care!
Together we show that distance is no barrier, and that Ukrainian culture, traditions, and the spirit of unity live on in all of our hearts.
