One of our fabulous volunteers is in a panto in January to raise money for Mountbatten Hospice. This years looks to be great for all ages with relaxed performances as well. It really is suitable for all, from Squirrels to Leaders..... Oh yes it is 🤪

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that I’ll be stepping down as Chair at the end of this year for personal reasons. It’s been such a lovely few years being part of this group — thank you all for your support and for helping make Scouting in our village such a welcoming place for children and young people.

One of the last things I’ve been able to finish as Chair is the soundproofing at Boyes Lane Hall, which is now complete 🎉. The sound in the hall was something many leaders had spoken to me about over the years, and I know it was bothering everyone — so I’m really pleased we’ve finally been able to sort it! This was made possible thanks to a grant I secured from Wi******er City Council and fantastic support from our Colden Common Parish Council. Hopefully it’ll make the hall a bit more inclusive and comfortable for everyone who uses it.

The group will now need someone to take on the Chair role. It’s not a big time commitment or too demanding, but it’s an essential role to keep the group running. If anyone’s interested — or just wants to have a chat about what’s involved — I’m really happy to talk it through.

Thanks again for everything — it’s been a real joy to be part of such a supportive and caring community
