We had a fantastic, successful afternoon yesterday, enjoying delicious tea and cakes, meeting lots of new people, enjoying the sunshine and supporting the Hall. A big thank you to Barbara Beaves and all the volunteer helpers. Such a success. 🥮🍪🍰🥮🍼🍰🫖☕️🫖☕️

Today, I was delighted to learn that the Sturminster Marshall Memorial Hall has won £50 in th Easy fund Raising "lucky luggage" draw. Please become one of our supporters and help us raise more funds for our refurbishment programme. See below. FUNDS raised as you shop! We have raised a further £50 just by doing our usual shopping. Kurling - it's Curling with no Ice.
Thanks to members of the WI who have enjoyed kurling across the county, we have invested in our own kurling kit and had some taster sessions. The “stones” are rolled along the floor in the Main Hall to a target mat. As there is no ice, there is no sweeping, once you’ve pushed it you watch it go. As in curling there’s a lot of tactics and knocking the opponent’s stones off the target. It’s suitable for all ages and abilities as it can be played from a seat. All are welcome.

At the moment we’re looking at alternating Monday early evenings and Tuesday late afternoons. Thanks to Annie Brewer-Smith who is organising the sessions – if you want to take part please text her on 07817919594. A session of 1.5 hours will cost you £3.
