Going for Bust Support Centre

Going for Bust have supported Lewis Manning Hospice with a donation of £2,000.

This will help to fund a Lymphscanner, which can detect Lymphoedema.

It is especially useful in ladies that get swollen breasts following breast cancer surgery and radiotherapy and can differentiate between other types of swelling and Lymphoedema.

We have our Support Centre Open Day on Tuesday 8th September 2026 from 10am-1pm.

Pop in, look around our centre and chat to our team about our services that are available to those who are experiencing or have previously experienced Breast Cancer.

We are pleased to announce that Wimborne and District Riding Club will be holding their Annual Charity Sponsored Ride on Sunday 4th October 2026 at Manor Farm, Gussage St Michael, Wimborne, Dorset.

This riding event is open to members and non-members.

Money raised will be donated to Going for Bust.

This is the 8th consecutive year that we have been chosen as the charity they raise funds for at this event.

We are a local Breast Cancer Charity located in Dorset & Hampshire. We help people who are going through, or have previously experienced Breast Cancer by raising funds through our charity shops, which enables us to make donations to Hospitals, Hospices and Support Groups within the local area.

We have our own Breast Cancer Support Centre in Wimborne. Here, we give help, advice and consultation regarding the supply/fitting of wigs and post surgery mastectomy bras. We also offer relaxation/massage sessions.

We have had massage appointments become available for this Monday 27th July 2026.

The sessions available are 10:30am or 11:15am.

If you are recovering from or have previously had Breast Cancer and would like further information or to book an appointment with our specialist associate.

We currently offer the following:

Indian Head Massage
Back, Neck & Shoulders Massage
Scalp Massage
Hand Scrub & Massage
Foot Scrub & Massage

We ask that you receive confirmation from your Breast Care Specialist that a massage is suitable for you regarding your circumstances and a disclaimer will need to be signed before any session.

Our opening times are Monday 10am-4pm, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 10am-2pm, Friday Closed.

Going for Bust Support Centre recently attended a presentation at the AFC Bournemouth Performance Centre.

We were awarded a cheque for £2,500 from the Cherries Community Fund.

This will enable us to continue supporting those who are experiencing or have experienced Breast Cancer with the services that we provide at our centre in Wimborne.

These include wig fitting/supply, post surgery bra fitting/supply and massage/relaxation sessions.
