Christmas Cards

Bruno is advertising the Christmas cards the rescue has available. There are a handful of packs which can be posted out (£1.60 postage) and a donation of £4.
Free collection from foster homes in Upton or Lytchett Matravers.

Each pack contains 10 cards with envelopes. There are two festive guinea pig designs (as shown in the photos) . Photo 3 shows the inside of the cards.

Thank you again for the ongoing support. The rescue’s precious funds have been heavily depleted by the rise in veterinary/medication costs. Therefore, keep your eyes peeled for various fundraising efforts the rescue will be doing🤗

Happiness is…

… knowing this gorgeous boy is going to a loving home who will fulfil his care needs and shower him with love.

Paul, was named when he arrived into the rescue 3 weeks ago and has now been given and fabulous new long title by his new owners ‘Hedgey-veggie-biscoff-biscuit’.

Due to distressing levels of neglect, his companion had died leaving Paul alone. He needed a piggy pamper, cuddles and his day at the vets to make sure he was healthy and ready to find a friend and just as importantly- the right home.

So ‘happy adoption day’ for his first day in his new home where he will gradually meet Fred, his piggy friend-to-be 🧡🤍🧡

Jason & Hummi

These two have bonded since arriving in the rescue. They were part of a larger intake of multiple boars. It wasn’t clear who knew who and many needed treatments for bite wounds and healing skin. Hummi (orange & white) is still enjoying coconut oil conditioning. He is thought to be around 3 years old and was possibly the father to many of the boars. He is placid and was (compared to some of the others) keen to remain with a companion. Jason (cream) was underweight, needing a boost and encouraged to munch… Hummi has been this positive influence. They respect each other’s space, while snoozing near to each other.
Jason is only a few months old - possibly around 6m. His bite wounds have healed well and he’s accepting of a soft brushing. He enjoys a hammock while Hummi prefers his fluffy sofa.

Together they are looking for a welcoming INDOOR home where they will continue to have comforts and soft items as well as access to zoomy space.

He arrived having not known comfort- he’d adapted and learned to snuggle and find calm at his foster home- his prey instinct has been able to settle. Bumblebee deserves all the love he’s going to have coming his way 🖤🩶💛🩶🖤

This beautiful boy needs a loving forever home. He had a traumatic week after being handed into the rescue with his companion, Stevie, who required urgent treatment. The pair went to vets and very very sadly, only Paul came home. It was very distressing for the fosterer and the veterinary staff were gutted to witness the level of suffering involved. Paul, named in the rescue as he & Stevie arrived without names, is being fostered where he can hear others so he is not so isolated.

Here, he is pictured after a bath and much needed nail clipping. He is now sparkling and enjoying his daily veggies and cuddles.

He is thought to be between 2.5-3 years old and will be looking for a forever home who can offering him another boar guinea pig to live with, appropriate space, comforts and love.

Libby & Beth

These two beauties are a mum & daughter duo. Long haired mum, Libby, must have only been very few months old when she got pregnant and had at least two babies. The babies were born May 20th- Beth and her brother. The issue was, their ‘home’ had intended to sell them at auction alongside a rabbit- you may remember this from the father /son duo they came with back in July, who have since been adopted.

The rescue has cared for the girls throughout the Summer to insure they are not pregnant as the boys had been housed with them. Fortunately - no babies! Though Beth’s rapid growth to match her mum’s weight, kept their fosterer guessing.

Together, they are looking for a forever home, safe from being bred from. Libby is likely only 2-3 months older, so both are still young sows.

She is aged between 3 and 4 years old and looking for a similar aged friend or friends. She’s very confident and enjoys being handled. She can be a bit dramatic at times with her vocalisations which just adds to her charm! Daisy, has just recovered from an abscess and been given the all clear, but the rescue would ask her adoptive family to keep an eye on her to make sure it doesn’t return. She would be more suited to an indoor home, or well insulated outdoor set up 😊

Brittany and Ellie

These two sows are just under 1 years old. They have needed major tlc to recover from their previous experience. They are a little timid, but learning to love handling and cuddles and getting braver every day. Veggies for the win! Grooming will be required with a soft brush regularly to assist them.

He is a very friendly charismatic piggy who is in need for a sow(s) companion. Aged 3 with mid length locks, can you offer him a loving home and friends. # rescue asks for a £60 donation for neutered boars. Considering neutering procedures cost over £200, the £60 donation helps recuperate ‘the rescue pot’ to help further guinea pigs.
