On the first weekend of August 2026, Stevie Crowther will be riding 140 miles in memory of his dad - our colleague - Dave. This ride is his way of saying thank you to the emergency services that supported Dave.

Stevie will start at Kincardine, visiting RNLI stations at:
• South Queensferry
• Kinghorn
• Anstruther
• Broughty Ferry
before finishing at the SCAA base in Perth.

It’s going to be a tough one — long miles and technical riding — but every mile will be for 'Dad'. Stevie is raising funds via the RNLI, and all donations will be split equally between them, the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance and East Neuk First Responders.

If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world to Stevie and his family. Thank you so much for the support ❤️

Reaper is now back home in Anstruther after a successful trip to the Moray coast and the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival. A huge thanks to the skippers and crew. Missing from the photo are Nick, Trevor, Ali, Doug, James and Jock.

And thank you to all those - too numerous to mention - who supported us along the way!

Reaper is enjoying a sail up the Forth after the rougher waters at the start of the trip back from the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival in Portsoy. Right now you can spot her - both sails up - between St Monans and Elie.

ETA at Anstruther is some time after 1pm, when the tide is right for coming in.

Returning from the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival, and fuelled by Joan's best soup and some butteries, the Reaper is now some 4.5 NM north-east of Aberdeen. Looking forward to welcome the boat and crew back in Anstruther tomorrow sometime after midday.

In the words of Eck Anderson, "It's a wee bit roly poly gawn along the Moray coast!"

Huge thanks go to Shetlander Harbour Master, Ian Sales, from Yell, Billy & Jim Milne, the Isabella Fortuna, Malcolm Bremner & crew, James Allan & Willie Shields from Dysart, all who helped us on our way...along with the good people of Portsoy!

Reaper departing the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival in Portsoy just over half an hour ago. She is heading straight back to Anstruther and is anticipated to come in between midday and 1pm.

The grey skies at the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival haven't stopped the steady stream of visitors to the Reaper, drawn by both its history and sheer size!

The boat will be open tomorrow, Sunday, 10.00am through to midday...so get down there early!
