We have been sent information regarding an education grant available from Riverside. Please see below -
The programme is open to Social Housing Residents of any age in England, including Riverside customers, who are starting or continuing an undergraduate degree in September 2026. It is designed to help remove financial and practical barriers to higher education, particularly for people from lower-income households or those who may be the first in their family to go to university.
What support is available?
Successful applicants can receive:
Up to £18,000 in total (£6,000 per year) to help with living costs and study materials
Paid summer internships with housing and community-based organisations
One-to-one mentoring, workshops and networking opportunities
Optional volunteering linked to personal interests and future career goals
The programme focuses on degrees connected to housing, homes, communities and local services, but applicants do not need perfect grades. Selection is based on motivation, potential and enthusiasm to learn.
Who can apply?
People can apply if they:
Live in social housing
Are starting or continuing an undergraduate degree in September 2026
Are interested in careers linked to housing, communities or local services
To mark National Scholarships Week [w/c 20 April], Riverside has joined forces with Clarion Housing Group and five other leading housing associations to unveil a major new scholarships programme designed to transform pathways into housing‑related careers for under‑represented groups.
