Over the last several months, a combination of rising running costs...

Dear Members,

We are reaching out today to share some difficult but necessary news regarding the future of the All Electric Model Car Club.

Over the last several months, a combination of rising running costs and lower racer attendance has heavily impacted our club funds. To prevent the club from falling into debt and to protect our remaining resources, the committee has made the tough decision to suspend club operations for the immediate future.

Please note that this is a pause, not a permanent closure. Our goal is to protect what we have so we can work toward a successful restart in the future.

To make this pause possible, valuable and difficult to replace assets will be put into secure storage, looked after by the committee. None of these items will be sold. To boost our remaining bank balance and help fund a future relaunch, non-essential and easily replaced items will be sold to other local clubs.

Finally, we want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has attended meetings, supported the club, and pitched in to help. Your time and effort have been incredibly appreciated.

We are only pausing the timer on the club for now, and we hope to see you all trackside again when the time is right. We will keep you updated on any future plans.

Hi all.

Just to let you all know, we will be conducting a test night at SMB Raceway in Cradley on July the 10th. Gates open at 6 and close at 10. Racing is from 6.45. the surface is AstroTurf and the classes are buggy, truck, rally and stadium truck. This is a test night to see how popular this venture may be for us moving forward and we are very grateful to smb for helping aemcc make this potentially very positive move into the off road classes and keep our club moving forward. The booking in fee is £10 and we will for the test night at least be using their computer system as the transponders they use are infrared . We will be taking our own to see how compatible ours is. Spare transponders are available for usage on the night. It's expected that all who attend will follow the club rules and the brca rules with marshalling, general safety and lipo charging. We must also respect smb club rules and venue. I have no doubt all aemcc drivers will do so without issue. I can be contacted about class rules, tyres used and anything else anyone wishes to know. Please all understand how important this is to aemcc moving forward.
